Senate and House Government Operations Committees

Below is a list of the members of the Tennessee General Assembly's Senate and House Government Operations Committees. The sunset review committee that is reviewing the Tennessee Commission of Indian Affairs to determine if the TCIA should be continued is a joint sub-committee of these two committees. The members of the sunset review committee are indicated.

Keep in mind that the members of the Government Operations Committees can set on the sunset review committee even if they aren't a named member of the sunset review committee, as Sen. Burchett did in the hearing on August 23. Also, the Government Operations Committees will have to act on the sunset review committee's recommendation regarding the TCIA. So if you want to express an opinion on whether the TCIA should be continued or not you should contact all of the members of these committees, starting with the named members of the sunset review committee.

You should also contact your own state senator and representative regarding this issue. A list of the members of the Tennessee State Legislature can be found at the Legislature's Web site.
