Native American Burial Area at Mousetail Landing State Park
Repaired
Mousetail
Landing State Park is located on the Tennessee River in Perry County, Tennessee.
The park also happens to be the location of a prehistoric Indian town site. For
years, the site has been eroding into the Tennessee River. The park has lost
about 20 feet of river bank in this area in the last ten years. The erosion
frequently exposes archaeological features and human burials.
