KBC TO PRODUCE LIVE NATION-WIDE COVERAGE OF THE FOURTH ANNUAL NATIVE AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS
Listeners Can Also Tune in on the Internet

Anchorage - On October 20, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. (CST), Koahnic Broadcast Corporation will provide live radio coverage on the Fourth Annual Native American Music Awards (NAMMYs) from the Sandia Casino Amphitheater in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Earthsongs Host and Producer Gregg McVicar and Native America Calling Host Harlan McKosato will co-host and produce KBC's coverage of the live event, providing listeners with commentary, background information, and interviews with organizers and participants.

Scheduled performers for this years NAMMYs will include Annie Humphrey, Brulé with Nicole Laroche, Black Lodge Singers, Bonnie Jo Hunt, Radmilla Cody, Crystal Gale, Keith Secola, Casper, Yarina, Evren Ozan, R. Carlos Nakai, Janice Marie, Jay Begaye and more to be announced.

KBC's live broadcast of the Fourth Annual Native American Music Awards can be heard in Anchorage on 90.3 FM KNBA, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on 88.1 FM KUYI and on many other stations nationwide to be announced. Listeners can also hear the broadcast at KNBA's web site, www.knba.org, at the American Indian Radio on Satellite (AIROS) network's web site, www.airos.org.

Production of this special broadcast of the NAMMYs is supported by Paul Allen Music Foundation and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and is distributed by AIROS.
