If you want to visit all of the sites in a morning or afternoon, follow the directions below the map.
If you want to visit all of the sites in a morning or afternoon, follow these directions. They don't take you through the tour in chronological order, but this is the most direct route for visiting all of the sites.
Follow the directions to the Clee's Ferry & Ganier Sites (click on the site above for the map and directions). Then retrace the route you took by leaving the Clee's Ferry parking lot and turning left on Annex Dr, then turning right on Robertson Road. Take Robertson Road to Briley Parkway. Proceed straight through the intersection at Briley Parkway, and follow the directions to the Chickasaw Treaty Site (click on the site above for a map and directions).
To go to the Noel Cemetery site, retrace the route you took to the Chickasaw Treaty Site by turning right on Morrow Road, then right on Urbandale. Turn left on Briley Parkway, then follow the signs to I-40 East. Go east on I-40 and take I-440 east, following the signs to Knoxville. Go east on I-440 and follow the directions to the Noel Cemetery Site (click on the site above).
Retrace your route back to I-440 by turning left on Granny White Pike, cross over I-440 and then turn left on Sweetbriar. Take Sweetbriar to 21st Ave. Turn left on 21st Ave. Follow the signs to I-440 east. Head east on I-440, follow the signs towards Knoxville. I-440 runs into I-24, take I-24 and follow the signs to Knoxville. This will put you on I-40 East. Follow the directions to Buchanan's Station.
Retrace your route by heading east on Elm Hill Pike to Briley Parkway. Go south on Briley Parkway to I-40. Follow the signs to I-40 West towards Nashville. Stay on I-40 West and follow the signs towards Memphis. I-40 intersects with I-265. Follow the signs to I-265 north towards Louisville. This will put you on I-265 heading towards the 8th Ave. / Metrocenter Blvd. exit. Take this exit and follow the directions to the Nashville Mound (click on the site above).
From the Bicentennial Mall go Jefferson St. and follow the directions to the Shawnee Settlements Site. Next you'll visit the Nashville Toll Bridge by turning right on Jefferson St. then left on 8th Ave.Go south on 8th Ave. and turn left on James Robertson Parkway. Follow the directions to the Victory Memorial Bridge. After you cross the bridge, turn around and cross back over the river.
