Buchanan's Station Site Map

Nashville's Native American History - Go To Buchanan's Station Site Description

To get to the Buchanan's Station Site from I-40, take the Briley Parkway / Opryland Exit. Go north on Briley Parkway. Take the Elm Hill Pike Exit. Go West on Elm Hill Pike. The Buchanan's Station historical marker will be on your right after you go through the intersection of Elm Hill Pike and Massman Dr., before you cross the bridge over Mill Creek.

The marker is next to the parking lot of an office complex called Buchanan's Station. You can park in the parking lot and read the marker (most of it is wrong). If you want to stop gor awhile and reflect on the site's history, it might be better to pull in to the Par-Mart store across the street. There is a small grassy area there between the parking lot and the back fence and they probably won't mind if you stop there for a few minutes if they aren't too busy.
